A Whole New World
Well, California isn't a new world per se, but it is when compared to Starkville. Happy New Year all, and if any of you are like me then I would like to encourage you in getting creative this year with the cunning "No that says 2019 not 2018." You know that hoop we jump through when we mess up writing and try to correct it "subtly" instead of just erasing it on the paper. Well, with a tub of ice cream and a box of tissues in hand we are moving forward from 2018 and a fist high in the air the way would at the end of "The Breakfast Club" YEA.
I spent the evening of New Years Eve at the Chinese Lantern Festival in Pasadena. It was stunning.
The Chinese Lantern Festival looked like a beautiful combination of the paper lanterns I have seen in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (You know the little scene that took place during the Chinese New Year was happening and a dragon showed up and started causing havoc? I f you haven't seen it I can highly recommend it. The paper lanterns are also comparable to the floating lights from tangled.), a wildlife reservation, and Christmas lights.
Yes, all of these things are made from paper lanterns! This was quite possibly the best New Years Eve I have ever experienced.
There was even an illusive California T-rex. These are native to california as you can tell by the palm tree friend this Dino has made.
For those of you scratching your head, these are jellyfish. Aren't they beautiful? Well to follow up this beautiful festival, I drank Champurrado (Chocolate Atole/Mexican Hot Chocolate). Couldn't get much better then that now could it.
Happy New Year All!
